Aneita is a Board Certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of nursing experience working with individuals with a psychiatric diagnosis across the lifespan. She is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University, Davie Florida, and University Hospital School of Nursing in Jamaica. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Nursing Informatics, and a Post Master’s Certificate as a Psychiatric and Mental Nurse Practitioner.

She believes each person is more than just their symptoms and offers individualized treatment plans customized to each person’s unique experience. Her integrative treatment modality includes psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, psychoeducation, lifestyle changes and self-care techniques. She believes mental health care is just as important as physical health care and works collaboratively with persons to help them lead more fulfilling lives and achieve a greater sense of overall wellbeing.

She has witnessed many persons shy away from getting the help they need because of the stigma. Therefore, she is committed to helping remove the stigma and to help normalize mental health care and substance use treatment. She is working hard to continuously provide a safe space allowing people to be seen, heard, and feel comfortable expressing themselves when they seek mental health and substance use treatment services.
